No one thinks much about their ability to breath; they just do it. It’s when a person can’t breath, that they suddenly realize they’d been doing something truly marvelous all along.
— Susan Meissner

Stevie was taken from Lodi Animal Shelter with her sister, Petunia, where they were held with another bulldog we believe to be their mom. Stevie suffered from double cherry eye, an elongated palette, and other typical English Bulldog ailments. Once in a foster home, Stevie was the absolute easiest girl.

She was dog friendly, kid friendly, great with babies, and absolutely loved people. Stevie did have some typical bulldog problems where when she’d eat she would almost always throw up soon after. This was believe to be because of her palette being so long. Once we got her the bulldog make over (cleared her airways, fixed her cherry eyes, and spayed), she was ready for her forever home. She did have a reoccurrence of cherry eye soon after surgery, but we got her taken care of.

Stevie was adopted on May 8, 2023. She can now breath, enjoy life, and enjoy her meals along with her forever family.
