Meet the Harley! Harley came to us from an owner surrender due to a divorce, on January 20, 2023. Harley hopped on a private plane ride solely for him, and made it down to Laguna Beach from Northern California. The first thing we noticed was his breathing… it turns out he had a huge palette that made him struggle to breath in 50 degree weather and minimal exercise.
We got him in to see a bulldog experienced vet, and got his palette fixed. From the beginning he was indifferent to dogs and loved the attention of humans. When his palette was shortened, we found out how much he loved to play, run, and enjoyed toys! It was such a beautiful sight to see. He was 5 years old, but with how he played you would have thought he was just a puppy again. This is why we rescue, we can help these dogs experience lives they never have and renew their vigor for it all!
Harley was quickly adopted by a family with bulldog experience that has had quite a few rescue English Bulldogs in their life. They met him, fell in love, and the rest is history!
