Money can buy you a fine dog, but only love can make him wag his tail.
— Kinky Friedman

Lolie came to CBR on September 19, 2022 with her littermate, Tia, from Orange County Animal Services were she was found with bite wounds and a skull fracture. It was believed that her wounds were from her parents whom she was found with. Lolie and Tia were posted on social media, and a previous foster of ours asked if we’d take them in if she fostered.

We got them out of the shelter and got them in to see an orthopedic specialist asap. They were cleared medically and healed beautifully. As they grew they definitely had some littermate syndrome and some resource guarding tendencies.

At one point, Lolie did get adopted but they determined they did not have the time to dedicate to a puppy and unfortunately surrendered her back to CBR. The surrendering adopters said she had an issue jumping and pulling, so when she was returned we put her in a board and train with Mo (IG: @MoBadDogs) at Royal K9 in Yorba Linda to assess and work on any bad habits.

Lolie went back to her foster home soon after and waited patiently for her forever home. She did have some resource guarding incidents with the other dogs in her foster home. It was determined that while she could live with other dogs, it would be best for her to be the only dog. She is a typical pitbull puppy who needed structure and dedicated, so we found her just that.

Lolie is the only dog in a home with a family dedicated to providing her with the training and time she needs to thrive.

Happy Tails!
